Lambrini Nassis
Lambrini Nassis is the founder of the firm Nassis & Associates. She is a practicing attorney in both New York State and in Greece. Ms. Nassis's practice focuses primarily on corporate business law, real estate/property law, inheritances, estates, family law, retirement benefits, criminal law, and recognition of foreign judgments.
Her legal career began while she was working as a Public Service Scholar at the New York City Law Department, both in the Family Court Division and later at the General Litigation Division. Ms. Nassis also worked for the Hague Appeal for Peace, as an Edward V. Sparer Public Interest Law Fellow where she reviewed and analyzed proposals for the International Criminal Court as well as prepared policy reports for disarmament and human security issues, and addressed these issues at UN meetings/conferences. At the same time, Ms. Nassis was also assisting refugees seeking asylum in the US as part of her work at the Brooklyn Law School Safe Harbor Project Clinic. She then worked at a private law firm that dealt with immigration and political asylum cases before the US Immigration Court among other international law matters. As an attorney exposed to international matters, Ms. Nassis decided to pursue her career as an international attorney in Greece. She successfully formed her own firm, Nassis & Associates, in 2005.
Ms. Nassis has received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/Honors from Hunter College, City University of New York in 1999 and a Juris Doctorate Degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2002. She was admitted to the NY Bar in 2003 and pursued her studies in Greece. She was admitted to the Thessaloniki Bar in 2005.
Ms. Nassis is also on the faculty of the American College of Thessaloniki where she teaches courses in International Law, International Organizations, and European Union Law. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Brooklyn Bar Association, the Thessaloniki Bar in Greece and the American Hellenic Chamber of Commerce. She served as Chair of TOWER (Thessaloniki Organization for Women's Employment and Resources), is currently the President of Rotary Club Thessaloniki Anatolia, and sits on the Board of Directors of the Athanasiades Cultural Foundation in New York.
